MY STORY:
A PATH OF RESILIENCE
AND DISCOVERY
My journey isn’t just about academic achievements and professional success;
it’s about personal health transformation. Like many women, I’ve faced my
share of challenges, especially as I entered my 40s.
I found myself juggling a demanding career in the food, pharma, and biotech
industries with the responsibilities of motherhood. The stress of balancing
work and family took a toll on my health. I experienced significant stress at
work and in my personal life, leading to gut health issues and a diagnosis of
IBS. My pregnancies, particularly with my last two children who were both
over 12 pounds, left me with a tilted uterus, chronic insomnia and lower back
pain. I needed to strengthen my core and adjust my diet to facilitate intestinal
transit, but the consultants I saw left me feeling unsupported, and frankly
hopeless.
As I navigated perimenopause, I realised the urgent need for nourishing,
whole food solutions to support hormonal balance and sustainable energy. I
was determined to find answers that no healthcare professional could give
me.
Drawing on my PhD in Food Science and Technology and 30 years of experience, I immersed myself in research, exploring the fascinating connection between nutrition, gut health, and hormonal well-being. I developed personalised strategies that not only addressed my own challenges but also led me to achieve the best health I’ve experienced since my twenties.
Today, I’m passionate about sharing this knowledge and empowering women
to take control of their health and embrace this transformative phase of life
with absolute confidence.

LIFESTYLE:
MY DAILY PRACTICES
I don’t just talk the talk. I believe in practicing what I preach. It took me years of research to better understand the mature female body. Now, my daily routine is refined to support my own hormonal balance as I navigate perimenopause in my 50s.
Here’s a glimpse into my daily practices:
Nutrition:
• My day starts with a magic blend of linseed and oatmeal porridge mixed with ripe bananas, prepared in large batches for the week.
• Lunch is high in protein (chicken, turkey, beef, pork, or lamb) with air-fried potatoes and vegetables.
• Snacks include nuts, dried fruits, or crackers.
• Dinner is usually light – a sandwich or fish.
• I prioritise hydration, drinking 2 liters of water and 2 cups of coffee in the morning, followed by herbal teas only.
Fitness:
• I focus on core strength training at home to support my back
and overall stability.
• I also participate group fitness and 45-minute spinning clas-
ses to maintain cardiovascular health and energy levels
